A natural law of reverse effect exists in the energetic universe. Understanding how reverse effect works in our psyche can help us understand our psychological world much better. In short, reverse effect can really get in the way of achieving goals, disciplining children, and, in general, all our negative interactions with others. To state the gist of reverse effect simply: the harder one consciously tries to do something, the more difficult it is to succeed.
And you are not going to succeed to thwart them because here the law of reverse effect is operating. And this is not outside of you. The very law of reverse effect is working inside you. I try to explain it with an example. If someone is travelling on a train without a ticket, it is obvious that a person becomes very cautious of his surroundings. You can see that person in anxiety as if someone enters that apartment, that man becomes more cautious. And due to this behaviour, if a ticket checker comes to that part, it is obvious that man would be the target of that ticket checker. That person is creating a reverse effect in his own mind.
We can easily become too attached to results as we journey along the path of changing our realities with our thoughts. We may find ourselves trying to make things happen, or trying to force our desired results to show forth as quickly as possible. We can also get desperate and would want to cut corners or arm twist certain things to get our desire results. These desperate efforts can turn around to become the major barriers to the manifestation of our desires. We have to be watchful in order to avoid this trap. Instead of just doing your meditations and affirmations and letting go, you may become so attached to the result you want to see. If you get so attached to the results and work harder to see the results, the Law of Reversed Effort will set in and work against you. It is better to stay on the lane of doing things that make things happen. Do what you are required and allow the great powers of the Universe to make things happen for you. If you get in the way and try to make things happen, you will end up hindering the manifestation process.
There are many physical laws that we live by. As we have physical laws there are also mental laws. These laws are just as real and we can use them for either our benefit or detriment. Its primary function is to prevent you from getting hurt and it learns and remembers rules and behaviours in order to do exactly this. These rules and behaviours are created from emotional responses to events which, more often than not, occurred in childhood. Each situation that reminds the subconscious of the childhood event gets treated according to the rule that was created back there, back then. This rule is then reinforced and becomes a habit, something you just do automatically without thinking. So when you try to change the automatic habit response, it is regarded as an attack by the subconscious, and is resisted. The more pressure you apply the more resistance is generated.
