We're a place where coders share, stay up-to-date and grow their careers. It's critical that you understand on your team who has the final say. Here are some questions. Is the team leader's authority clear? I've worked on teams where the team leader didn't have the authority. The way I framed that is the team leader didn't have any teeth. They could make certain decisions, but whether anyone actually respected those decisions or followed through with those decisions was questionable. They might have had authority on paper, but people weren't following them. What if the team leader gives or bestows the authority to other team members.

How Others Think of Us
The first stage is what most often comes to mind regarding parenting—the oversight of a minor. Morally, legally, and practically, the parent has direct oversight of the child. What often makes the transitionary period so difficult is we are unsure of who should have the final say. It should be obvious although some people struggle with this that the child turned adult gets the final say in their own lives. Yet in between the two stages a struggle takes place. Most parents know they need to begin to release control of their children.
And God could declare the same as He watches us govern one another and build societies. For example, not too long ago, it was illegal for interracial couples to marry or for women to own property. While we know these attitudes are wrong and unbiblical, at one time many people held firmly to these beliefs. Have you ever wondered how that happens?
